IMPACT-RATED DOORS

Rated as an assembly, not as a door.

An impact door is tested as a complete system, with slab, frame, glass, hinges and lock together, and approved for the wind pressure at the opening it fills.

The unit is the rating

A door is only impact-rated as the assembly it was tested as. Swap the glass or the hardware afterwards and the approval no longer applies.

The number goes on your permit

Your Florida Product Approval number appears on the permit paperwork. Ask to see it, on any job, from anyone.

Entry, French and sliding

Impact options exist across all three, including units with sidelites and transoms.

Anchoring is where it is won

Most of the rating lives in how the frame is fastened to the wall. It is the part you cannot see afterwards, and the part we do not rush.

What we carry
